University celebrates completion of new construction projects
Tuskegee University alumni, faculty, staff and students on Friday, July 30, participated in ribbon-cutting ceremonies for three construction projects on campus: the renovation of Logan Hall, a new women's softball field and a revived Margaret Murray Washington Hall.

Architecture department status elevated, named for legendary architect Taylor
In a final action prior to his departure, Dr. Benjamin F. Payton, President of Tuskegee University, announced today that the Board of Trustees has approved his recommendation to elevate the Department of Architecture on the Tuskegee University campus to school status.

Tuskegee University Names Interim President and New Executive Search Firm
Dr. Andrew F. Brimmer, Chairman of the Tuskegee University Board of Trustees, announced today the appointment of Dr. Charlotte P. Morris as Interim President of the institution, effective August 1, 2010. Her selection was the result of an enthusiastic vote of the entire Board. She will serve in this capacity while the search committee completes its work for a permanent president.

Troy appointed as University's interim provost
Tuskegee University President, Dr. Benjamin F. Payton, recently announced the appointment of Dr. Roberta Troy as the University's interim provost. Troy was most recently the assistant provost. According to Payton, Dr. John A. Williams will be leaving the post to devote the necessary time to the assessment and planning part of his position as vice president for institutional research, assessment and planning.
