The Menfolks Group held it's 2nd Annual Pancake Breakfast today February 23, 2008 and it was an overwhelming success. The event included several guest speakers in addition to a delicious pancake breakfast.
Special thanks to "Big Mike" Heath for chairing this years pancake breakfast committee and to all of the students, staff & menfolks who volunteered their time & talent to make this event a success. Lastly "Thank you" to everyone that supported our fundraiser by purchasing tickets and making donations.

We had over 70 young men show-up to take part in the meal (we actually ran out of food) Mike Smith provided the food as well as served it, Carlton Walter, Imo Iboko and myself were on hand pitching in as well. Give special thanks to Mike for providing the food at no cost. |

FYI
My wife will be receiving monies from her company under the volunteer program. She has agreed to have the $750 earmarked to go into the "Men Folks" account at VPP. Maybe we all in Corporate America should check with our respective companies and determine if they have similar programs. This is an easy way to get monies so that we can initiate some of the enrichment activities we have been discussing.
